Kansas State soccer coach Jessica Smith took the opportunity of the Outsports Reunion, and our ‘Straight Talk from Out Jocks’ to talk about her experience as a lesbian college soccer coach. She discussed the struggles she had with suicidal thoughts, and her ability to help a gay player navigate that struggle after she had come out to her team.

If you are LGBT and struggle with suicidal thoughts, contact The Trevor Project to talk with someone. You can reach them at 866-488-7386.
